– The Lake House (2006) ⋅ Kate & Alex –
Globally, more people watch films. than to read books. The difference comes from our fantasy, with a book the imagination develops into creativity, watching a film just opens people’s senses and allows them to be captivated by ready-made creativity. Many films and books invite to fear or violence that we grasp with our senses and view with feelings or strong emotions. The origins of entertainment can probably be found in the old arenas or the Colosseum, Suzanne Collins describes this detailed in her books The Hunger Games.
My person has not been interested in film art that internalizes violence for about 11 years. (Of course there are exceptions like Indiana Jones to end a story or a book adaptation by zoologist Delia Owens). Every person feels and develops empathy differently – Buddhists choose nonviolence and avoid structures that cause negative feelings or hatred. Film art prefers to show violence rather than naked sexuality and likes to stimulate through gruesome fear. Please try to avoid any violence.Stop racism.
The best films I know are listed here, the level represents the quality, next to it there is a value that represents the content with which our brain is stimulated. Clicking here or the values provides further information about the limbic system. We achieve the strongest sensations in the primal instincts by stimulating sexuality, horror or violence. It would make sense to show around movies a value that defines violence, weapons or brutality – of course, my values here only serve as a guide. Masterpieces of movie art like Baraka and Samsara by Ron Fricke made the greatest impression on me ⋅ སེམས གཟིགས
